About the Author
Annie Bruce was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1955, the youngest of six children. Her family owned black cats throughout her childhood. Like her mother and grandmother, Annie has a particular fondness for black cats and has owned black male cats for five decades.
Annie attended Cass Technical High School in downtown Detroit and has worked for twenty years as a computer operator. Her volunteer work with sick and abused cats took her to public fairs, where she talked to cat owners about their cats’ problems. When Annie realized that many owners and cats were suffering unnecessary hardship and expense, she started a consulting business. That business in turn led to her writing a book titled Cat Be Good.
Annie Bruce is a member of the Cat Writer’s Association and has consulted with more than 500 cat owners about various cat-training issues. She’s talked on hundreds of radio shows about cats as well as five years with regular appearances on www.AnimalRadio.com.
Annie now lives in Boulder, Colorado. When she’s not talking about cats, she’s enjoying friends, reading, and hip-hop dance classes.
